Ash Veneer Bench

An extremely interesting build. The client had an Ash log that was cut down in their backyard. They showed me the log, and wanted to build a bench out of it, but it had patches of rot, and clear signs of beetle infestation.

Any sane woodworker would have thrown away the log and not looked back, but I decided to at least try to incorporate it into a bench even if it couldn’t be used for anything structural. The result was a sleek modern shaped bench with one-of-a-kind ash veneer and inlays.
